Opprobrium \Op*pro"bri*um\, n. [L., fr. ob (see {Ob-}) + probrum
   reproach, disgrace.]
   Disgrace; infamy; reproach mingled with contempt; abusive
   language.

         Being both dramatic author and dramatic performer, he
         found himself heir to a twofold opprobrium. --De
