Pangolin \Pan"go*lin\, n. [Malay pang?lang.] (Zo["o]l.)
   Any one of several species of {Manis}, {Pholidotus}, and
   related genera, found in Africa and Asia. They are covered
   with imbricated scales, and feed upon ants. Called also
   {scaly ant-eater}.
