Paucity \Pau"ci*ty\, n. [L. paucitas, fr. paucus few, little:
   cf. F. paucit['e] See {Few}.]
   1. Fewness; smallness of number; scarcity. --Hooker.

            Revelation denies it by the stern reserve, the
            paucity, and the incompleteness, of its
