Percolation \Per`co*la"tion\, n. [L. percolatio.]
   The act or process of percolating, or filtering; filtration;
   straining. Specifically (Pharm.), the process of exhausting
   the virtues of a powdered drug by letting a liquid filter
   slowly through it.
