Platting \Plat"ting\, n.
   Plaited strips or bark, cane, straw, etc., used for making
   hats or the like.

Plat \Plat\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Platted}; p. pr. & vb. n.

   To form by interlaying interweaving; to braid; to plait.
