1. Of or pertaining to polygamy; characterized by, or
involving, polygamy; having a plurality of wives; as,
polygamous marriages; -- opposed to {monogamous}.
2. (Zo["o]l.) Pairing with more than one female.
Most deer, cattle, and sheep are polygamous.
