   1. The act of proclaiming; official or general notice;
      publication.

            King Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah;

   2. That which is proclaimed, publicly announced, or
      officially declared; a published ordinance; as, the
      proclamation of a king; a Thanksgiving proclamation.
