Pronoun \Pro"noun\, n. [Pref. pro- + noun: cf. F. pronom, L.

   A word used instead of a noun or name, to avoid the
   repetition of it. The personal pronouns in English are I,
   thou or you, he, she, it, we, ye, and they.
