   rago[^u]ter to restore one's appetite, fr. L. pref. re- re- +
   ad to + gustare to taste, gustus taste. See {Gust} relish.]
   A dish made of pieces of meat, stewed, and highly seasoned;
   as, a ragout of mutton.
