Tomahawk \Tom"a*hawk\, n. [Of American Indian origin; cf.
   Algonkin tomehagen, Mohegan tumnahegan, Delaware tamoihecan.]
   A kind of war hatchet used by the American Indians. It was
   originally made of stone, but afterwards of iron.
