   tricolored flag, fr. tricolore three-colored; tri (see
   {Tri-}) + L. color color.] [Written also {tricolour}.]
   1. The national French banner, of three colors, blue, white,
      and red, adopted at the first revolution.

   2. Hence, any three-colored flag.
