   Adhesive or sticky, and having a ropy or glutinous
   consistency; viscid; glutinous; clammy; tenacious; as, a
   viscous juice. -- {Vis"cous*ness}, n.

   Note: There is no well-defined distinction in meaning between
         viscous and viscid.
