Vetiver \Vet"i*ver\, n. (Bot.)
   An East Indian grass ({Andropogon muricatus}); also, its
   fragrant roots which are much used for making mats and
   screens. Also called {kuskus}, and {khuskhus}. [Sometimes
   written {vetivert}, and {vitivert}.]
