Windows/386
     
         A version of {Microsoft Windows} released
        in late 1987.  Windows/386 was basically the same as its
        predecessor, Windows/286 (as {Windows 2} was renamed), but
        with the capability to run multiple {MS-DOS} applications
        simultaneously in {extended memory}.
