Benzile \Ben"zile\, n. [From {Benzoin}.] (Chem.)
   A yellowish crystalline substance, {C6H5.CO.CO.C6H5}, formed
   from benzoin by the action of oxidizing agents, and
   consisting of a doubled benzoyl radical.
