   p. pr. & vb. n. {Betiding}.] [OE. bitiden; pref. bi-, be- +
   tiden, fr. AS. t[=i]dan, to happen, fr. t[=i]d time. See
   {Tide}.]
   To happen to; to befall; to come to; as, woe betide the
   wanderer.
