Binervate \Bi*nerv"ate\, a. [L. bis twice + nervus sinew,
   nerve.]
   1. (Bot.) Two-nerved; -- applied to leaves which have two
      longitudinal ribs or nerves.

   2. (Zo["o]l.) Having only two nerves, as the wings of some
      insects.
