   bouffonnerie.]
   The arts and practices of a buffoon, as low jests, ridiculous
   pranks, vulgar tricks and postures.

         Nor that it will ever constitute a wit to conclude a
         tart piece of buffoonery with a ``What makes you
         blush?''                                 --Spectator.
