   (Bot.)
   A smooth-skinned variety of peach.

   {Spanish nectarine}, the plumlike fruit of the West Indian
      tree {Chrysobalanus Icaco}; -- also called {cocoa plum}.
      it is made into a sweet conserve which a largely exported
      from Cuba.
