Succussation \Suc`cus*sa"tion\, n. [L. succussare to jolt, v.
   intens. fr. succutere, succussum, to fling up from below, to
   toss up; sub under + quatere to shake.]
   1. A trot or trotting. [Obs.] --Sir T. Browne.

   2. A shaking; succussion.
