Supposititious \Sup*pos`i*ti"tious\, a. [L. suppositicus. See

   1. Fraudulently substituted for something else; not being
      what is purports to be; not genuine; spurious;
      counterfeit; as, a supposititious child; a supposititious
      writing. --Bacon.
