Surbedded

Source : Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913)

Surbed \Sur*bed"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Surbedded}; p. pr. & vb.
   n. {Surbedding}.] [Pref. sur- + bed.]
To set edgewise, as a stone; that is, to set it in a position
different from that which it had in the quarry.

It . . . has something of a grain parallel with the
horizon, and therefore should not be surbedded.
