Bindweed \Bind"weed`\, n. (Bot.)
A plant of the genus {Convolvulus}; as, greater bindweed ({C.
Sepium}); lesser bindweed ({C. arvensis}); the white, the
blue, the Syrian, bindweed. The black bryony, or {Tamus}, is
called {black bindweed}, and the {Smilax aspera}, {rough
bindweed}.
