Brinded \Brin"ded\, a. [Cf. Icel. br["o]nd[=o]ttr brindled, fr.
   brandr brand; and OE. bernen, brinnen, to burn. See {Brand},

   Of a gray or tawny color with streaks of darker hue;
   streaked; brindled. ``Three brinded cows,'' --Dryden. ``The
