Broadleaf \Broad"leaf`\, n. (Bot.)
   A tree ({Terminalia latifolia}) of Jamaica, the wood of which
   is used for boards, scantling, shingles, etc; -- sometimes
   called the {almond tree}, from the shape of its fruit.
