Sharpie \Sharp"ie\, n. (Naut.)
   A long, sharp, flat-bottomed boat, with one or two masts
   carrying a triangular sail. They are often called {Fair Haven
   sharpies}, after the place on the coast of Connecticut where
   they originated. [Local, U.S.]
