Sizzle \Siz"zle\, v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Sizzled}; p. pr. & vb. n.

   To make a hissing sound; to fry, or to dry and shrivel up,
   with a hissing sound. [Prov. Eng. & Colloq. U. S.] --Forby.
