Sola \So"la\, n. [Native name.] (Bot.)
   A leguminous plant ({[AE]schynomene aspera}) growing in moist
   places in Southern India and the East Indies. Its pithlike
   stem is used for making hats, swimming-jackets, etc. [Written
   also {solah}, {shola}.]
