Swig \Swig\, v. t. [Cf. D. zwelgen to swallow, E. swallow, v.t.]
   1. To drink in long draughts; to gulp; as, to swig cider.
      [Colloq.]

   2. To suck. [Obs. or Archaic]

            The lambkins swig the teat.           --Creech.
