Diphenyl \Di*phe"nyl\, n. [Pref. di- + phenyl.] (Chem.)
   A white crystalline substance, {C6H5.C6H5}, obtained by
   leading benzene through a heated iron tube. It consists of
   two benzene or phenyl radicals united.
