   inviolatus. See {In-} not, and {Violate}.]
   1. Not violated; uninjured; unhurt; unbroken.

            His fortune of arms was still inviolate. --Bacon.

   2. Not corrupted, defiled, or profaned; chaste; pure.
      ``Inviolate truth.'' --Denham.

            There chaste Alceste lives inviolate. --Spenser.
