OEnanthylous \[OE]*nan"thyl*ous\, a. (Chem.)
   Of, pertaining to, or designating, an acid formerly supposed
   to be the acid of [oe]nanthylic ether, but now known to be a
   mixture of higher acids, especially capric acid. [Obs.]
