Patulous

Patulous \Pat"u*lous\, a. [L. patulus, fr. patere to be open,
   extend.]
   Open; expanded; slightly spreading; having the parts loose or
   dispersed; as, a patulous calyx; a patulous cluster of
   flowers.

         The eyes are large and patulous.         --Sir J. Hill.
