Pang \Pang\, n. [Prob. for older prange. Cf. {Prong}.]
   A paroxysm of extreme pain or anguish; a sudden and
   transitory agony; a throe; as, the pangs of death.

   Syn: Agony; anguish; distress. See {Agony}.
