Pertaining to, or obtained from, stearin or tallow;
resembling tallow.
{Stearic acid} (Chem.), a monobasic fatty acid, obtained in
the form of white crystalline scales, soluble in alcohol
and ether. It melts to an oily liquid at 69[deg]C.
