   A genus of trees or shrubs, one species of which ({F.
   Carica}) produces the figs of commerce; the fig tree.

   Note: {Ficus Indica} is the banyan tree; {F. religiosa}, the
         peepul tree; {F. elastica}, the India-rubber tree.
